Chicken, Chitlins and Caviar™ explores the African American Experiences and traditions through the universal lens of music using food as the metaphor. Chicken, as the staple of every Sunday dinner brings you the Soul and R&B, Chitlins, just making due with what chu’ got is the blues and soul music, and Caviar is the refined and cultured that is represented by the spirituals and Broadway.

Verlin Sandles has been singing since the tender age of five. She studied music specializing in vocal, choral, and directing at San Francisco State University and studied privately with Mr. Rue Knapp, Mr. George Davis and Roland Wyatt of San Francisco.
April M. Wright-Hickerson, a native of Richmond, California began singing at the North Richmond Missionary Baptist Church at 8 years of age. Since then April’s sung, lectured and directed choirs locally and internationally.
